Andrea Calanca

PhD Student

In 2006 Andrea Calanca recived a master degree in Information Engeneering cum laude at the University of Pavia. For some years he worked in companies as software, automation and DSP engeneer then in 2009 he joned the Altair Robotics Laboratory.

His research interests are related to system identification, system control and DSP. In particular, his past work includes pneumatic actuation systems, non-linear control, kalman filtering, system identification, object-oriented design and audio algorithms for voice and artificial reverberation.

He is currently focusing on rehabilitation robotics including:
- Compliant and low comsumption actuators
- Stability of "human in the loop" systems
- Control algorithms and trajectory generation in rehabilitation robotics
- System identification
- Adaptive and learning systems
